What is GATE?
GATE stands for Global Advisory Team of Experts. GATE
consultants are leading engineers, product managers, resellers,
sales and marketing professionals, executives, scientists,
physicians and other professionals within various industries.
PGR pays GATE members to speak with investment managers in
search of market intelligence and other information in order to
find the best investment options. This can include trends,
issues, regulations and dynamics affecting a particular company,
product or industry.
As a GATE member, who do I talk with
during one-on-one consultations?
You talk with leading investment managers who are researching
products and companies to make investment decisions. You also
interact with other industry professionals from all over the
world, gathering your own market intelligence to enhance your
own business.
What kinds of questions will I be asked
in surveys or phone consultations?
You will be asked general market questions in your area of
expertise. We respect and adhere to all confidentiality
agreements that you may have, so questions will be within the
parameters of such agreements.
Do I have to pay anything to be in the
GATE network?
No. Membership to become an independent research consultant in
GATE is free and confidential.
How do I determine my hourly rate?
We pay your hourly consulting rate.
When do I get paid?
Please use our website to invoice us as soon as you complete a
consultation. You will receive a user name and password that
allows you to check on past consultations, payment history and
other relevant items. Please allow 7-10 days for the check to
arrive. For Asian and European GATE consultants, check arrival
may vary depending on location.
What if I do not wish to receive
payment for my service?
GATE members can consult for charity, instead of taking payment
for consultations.
Can I interact with other GATE members?
Yes. During conferences and other major industry forums, we host
events with clients and other GATE members. These events are
great networking opportunities for GATE members.
Do I have to accept each invitation to
consult?
Absolutely not. You may decline any invitation to consult, for
any reason.
What is the time commitment if I join
GATE?
There is no minimum time commitment. You accept only the
consultations you want to accept and may decline any invitation
to consult, for any reason.
How do I become a GATE member?
Once we contact you or you contact us, a PGR staff member
interviews you to determine your areas of expertise. This
process allows us to match you with the appropriate client
requests.
